Paramount Skydance Set to Cut Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News
Paramount Skydance will begin mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 American roles within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.
More international job cuts are likely, as the firm intending to reveal full details via its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.
Earlier reports suggested the firm planned to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, the organization retained almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 project-based staff.
The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
