Two Individuals Formally Indicted with Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per investigating officers.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
